HytteCare – Terms & Conditions of Business
1. Company Details

2. Scope of Services
HytteCare provides cabin and concierge services, including but not limited to:
- Cabin checks and inspections (internal and/or external).
- Cleaning and laundry coordination.
- Key handover and guest management.
- Grocery stocking, firewood delivery, and other concierge services.
- Seasonal preparation and maintenance / maintenance coordination.
- The scope of services is defined in each client’s chosen package or ad hoc agreement.
3. Request for Services
- Requests for services should be sent via email to hi@hyttecare.com
- We aim to respond to requests as soon as possible and normally within 24 hours.
4. Alcohol & Celebration Packages – Important Information
HytteCare is not licensed to sell or supply alcohol. In accordance with Norwegian law (Alkoholloven), any alcoholic beverages included in a package must be:
- Purchased directly by the client (either in-store or via online order).
- Or purchased on the client’s behalf at cost, with full receipts provided.
We do not apply any markup on alcohol. However, we charge a separate delivery/service fee for sourcing, collecting, and placing items in the cabin.
Example:
- Champagne (purchased at Vinmonopolet, at cost) – NOK [receipt price]
- Purchasing & delivery services (HytteCare service fee) – NOK [fixed fee]
This ensures we can still create a complete “celebration experience” with flowers, firewood, decorations, food, and drinks, while staying fully compliant with Norwegian regulations.
5. Prices and Payment
- All prices are stated in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and are inclusive of 25% MVA (unless otherwise stated).
- Payment terms: Subscriptions and bundle packages are normally billed in advance unless otherwise agreed and payment is to made within 14 days of receipt of invoice, unless otherwise agreed.
- Additional checks and services, including concierge services, will normally be invoiced monthly according to written agreements. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
- Payment for ad-hoc and concierge services, requested by guests are to be made in advance at the time of order confirmation.
- Materials, third-party contractor costs, and extraordinary expenses are billed separately.
6. Cancellation, Amendments and Refunds
- Ad-hoc bookings: may be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance without charge.
- Subscription services: changes or cancellations must be made with one month’s written notice.
- Bundle services cannot be refunded and must be used within a 12-month period.
7. Subcontractors
Upon agreement with the client, HytteCare may engage subcontractors (e.g. cleaners, tradespeople). HytteCare remains the main point of contact for the client.
8. Access and Responsibility
- The client must ensure that HytteCare has appropriate access to the cabin (keys, codes, etc.).
- HytteCare is not responsible for delays or failure to provide services where access is not granted.
- Any damage, issues, or emergencies discovered during checks will be reported to the client. Remedial work will only be arranged with the client’s consent, except in urgent cases where immediate action is required to prevent further damage.
9. Liability and Insurance
- The client remains responsible for maintaining adequate insurance for their property.
- HytteCare is not responsible for losses or damage caused by third-party contractors engaged on behalf of the client.
- HytteCare maintains adequate professional liability insurance to cover any potential claims arising from the provision of our services in the jurisdiction we provide our services to you.
- HytteCare liability is limited to direct losses.
- HytteCare total liability for all claims related to provided services, whether due to negligence, breach of contract, or any other cause, shall not exceed the sum equivalent of NOK 10,000,000 under any circumstances.
- Furthermore, HytteCare´s liability will be reduced by any amount that may be obtained under any insurance maintained by or for you or under any contract or indemnity to which you are a party or a beneficiary, unless it is contrary to the agreement with your insurance provider or third party, or your rights against the insurance provider or third party are thereby prejudiced.
10. Force Majeure
HytteCare shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its services to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by a Force Majeure event. Upon the occurrence of a Force Majeure event, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions. HytteCare shall promptly notify the Client in writing of the nature and extent of the event, the expected duration, and the services affected. HytteCare shall use all reasonable endeavors to mitigate the effect of the Force Majeure event on the performance of its services.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The parties agree to seek to resolve any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement by referring the dispute to mediation, failing which the parties agree to submit the dispute to the exclusive venue of arbitration in Oslo, Norway under the Norwegian arbitration act.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
